Training for Aussie Nats and Moomba Masters

On Friday night I headed to my childhood best friend Jordan Urens cabin in Echuca which is right next door to my old parents cabin the had since before I was born.  I rode with Charli Shore and her family on the Nautique 230 all of Saturday and Sunday morning, then I rode with Lachy Sims out on his Malibu Wakesetter on the Sunday afternoon.  I coached Lachy and his sisters and I personally rode better and better after every set I took, and i was loving it!

I'm back to my old self and feel onto of the world again! All my old tricks are coming back and I'm already working on a few things leading into Nationals. I love that I'm able to ride again, I can't believe how much I missed it and I'm finally strong enough to ride hard. Bring on next weekend, it's back to Echuca again aand then sneaking home for my sisters wedding!!!!

Wakeboard Victoria Coaching Camp

This weekend we got all the groms for the official AWWF coaching camp in Echuca on the beautiful Murray River which i grew up on.  We stayed at Paul Bell's pad at Merool which was a great base for the weekend.

I was the official coach for the weekend and was so pumped to see so many kids going so hard at the sport!  I had recently completed the online coaching component of the AWWF Level 1 Coaching Course and was keen to commence.

There were so many shredders and everyone progressed insanely! Everyone went home with new tricks and something to work on which is great to see, the only thing I enjoy almost as much as learning these tricks myself, is getting pumped watching other people learn them, and getting pumped on wakeboarding.

All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go.....

The countdown is on. Saturday morning I fly out with my good mate Corey Turnbull to Orlando - the land of dreams! Only a couple of quick stops in Auckland and Los Angeles along the way. I arrive on Sunday Morning at about 5am and will be met at the Airport by Wakeboard legend, and my number one mentor Daniel Watkins.

I will be based at the Wakeboard Camp at Clermont where fellow Liquid Force Riders Ben Greenwood and Amber Wing are based. I'm also looking forward to catching up with the Billabong Crew!

I have had a great week and have done so much riding doing between 2 and 4 sets everyday. I have my pass real consistent and just have to decide which 7's I am going to run with in the Worlds...

My old mate I grew up with in Echuca Jordan Uren has been at my place this week and he is riding real well too and will be heading back to Melbourne on Saturday with a few new tricks.

Have a big media day tomorrow on my last day starting with a Channel 9 News Crew meeting me at ProWake. Had to choose somewhere and thought it would be great to take them to Mick & Daniels to film. Then I have a crew from the Gold Coast Bulletin doing a set in the boat with me...

After that there's just one more sleep - I wonder if I will get any?
